On the evening of May 29th, the closing ceremony and art performance of the 26th Campus Culture and Art Festival of ZIME was held in the small theater of Changan Campus. Shen Qinli, deputy mayor of Haining City, Zhao Xiaoyang, secretary of the Haining Department of Communist Youth League Committee of China, Ye Weijiang, director of Zhejiang Machinery and Electrical Group Co., Ltd., and secretary of Department of Communist Youth League Committee. Chen Liankai, executive Chairman of Zhejiang Academic Union, Huang Zheng, the mayor of Changan Town, Xia Yunxi, the vice president of Haining Middle School and other guests attended this party. Huang Daoping, party secretary of ZIME, Shao Wene, secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Zhou Chunjiang, Associate Dean, Department of Student Affairs (Student Office), Department of Communist Youth League Committee of China, Changan Comprehensive Office, Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and other department heads and other guests attended the party and watched the performance, with more than 700 teachers and students.
Vice Premier Zhou Chunjiang first made a closing speech, affirmed the achievements of the current campus culture and art festival, and proposed to the students to transfer the enthusiasm for participating in the cultural and art festival into a driving force for learning, constantly enhance confidence in Chinese Culture, Chase the craftsmen spirit, working together to achieve the Chinese Dream.
First of all, the song “Spring Breeze” and “Wang Fei” brought by the electro-aciystuc band kicked off. This evening is composed of three chapters: “Inheritance Chinese Tradition”, “Unite Revolutionary Red”, and “Promoting the New Era of the Times”. In the first chapter, “Inheritance Chinese Tradition”, the men’s dance “Sailing on the Qiantang” deducted the tenacious struggle of the Qiantang children and the unyielding stubbornness of the Qiantang River, and described the spirit of Qiantang River under the huge waves of the development. The dance-magic creative performance “Xia Ke Xing” perfectly combines Chinese painting with the Bian Lian. At the begining, there’s a young boy squatted in the bamboo forest, he danced with the ink and fan, and then there’s a man called Xia Ke who can Bian Lian which they change from one face to another almost instantaneously with the swipe of a fan, a movement of the head, or wave of the hand. The young boy and Xia Ke performed an excellent show of Martial Arts together. The dance “Feng Xu Yu Feng” combines the stalwart and the soft beauty, blending the traditional Chinese cultural elements, depicting the free and easy, ethereal mood. The second chapter is “Unite Revolutionary Red”. The original rap “Youthful” is presented in the form of young rap art. The youthful patriotism is used to commemorate the 5.4 Movement, and the passion exploded throughout the whole audiences. The dancers of "Azalea Red" set off the toes of the times, paying tribute to the warmth of the dance, and defending the blazing faith with youth. The dance "Road" and the creative recital "Autumn Festival" commemorate the national spirit of the revolutionary pioneers by praising the heroes. In the third chapter, "Promoting the New Era of the Times", cheer leading "Dancing Youth" conquered the audience through a series of difficult technical movements such as lifting, throwing, flipping, etc., causing the bursts of cheers; the cheer leading also shows young students the spirit of youth, vitality, sunshine and fashion. "Dream and Homeland" shows the freshness of the Mongolian grassland through the passionate dance image and the steady and powerful dance movements. The song and dance "The Friends of the Waves" brought by the Burmese classmates fully demonstrates the friendship between China and Burma in the context of the Belt and Road. The party ended in the chorus “my country and I", the climax of the whole party stack up, wonderful performance one after another, classic and fashion combined, and dynamic and quiet against each other. This show wins the applause from the audience.
This year’s Culture and Art Festival has organized around the theme of “Respecting and Inheriting Chinese Culture”. There are more than 134 activities in the seven series of field such as “Lecture Forum”, “Youth Volunteer”, “Cultural Entertainment Classroom”, “Bedroom Charm”, “Psychological Health week”, “Sports Competition”, “Youth League”. More than 5000 students participated in the activities between the two campuses.
Respect and inherit excellent Chinese culture. “Excellent traditional culture” nourishes and grows, “red culture” inherits the blood, and “professional culture” is firmly attributed. The Campus Culture and Art Festival fully demonstrates the achievements of the reform and development of humanities and arts education in our college. It reflects the spirit of the students in the school and demonstrates the elegant aesthetic taste and outstanding artistic talent.
