In order to further deepen international cooperation and exchanges, on the afternoon of March 19th, our school and the Ukrainian National Railway Transportation University held a video conference on cooperation in running schools.Tao Yu, Dean of the School of International Education, Wang Yaojun, Vice Dean, Bian Haoyi, Dean of the School of Smart Transportation, and Meng Jin, Director of the Branch Office attended the meeting. Kravchenko Olana, Director of International Relations Department of Ukrainian National Railway Transportation University, Panchenko Vladislav, International Affairs Liaison, and Belesny Victor, Engineer of International Relations Department attended the meeting. The attendance also included Li Yun, director of Xipei International Business Development Center, Bai Ping, international business operations manager, and Su Wenling, international business operations director. The meeting was hosted by Bai Ping.
At the beginning of the meeting, the participants of the two schools gave a detailed introduction to the school history, scale and characteristics, disciplines, scientific research achievements, and international exchanges and cooperation.Dean Tao Yu focused on introducing the basic situation of our school, school-running strength, international projects, international exchanges and cooperation results, etc.
Dean Bian Haoyi focused on introducing the characteristics, professional advantages, talent training models, construction of training bases, and the results of industry-university-research cooperation in the urban rail transit electromechanical technology major to cooperate. He also put forward the preliminary idea of cooperation between the college and the Ukrainian National Railway Transportation University in the “Luban Workshop” project.Uzbekistan participants expressed their strong willingness to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with our school, saying that the two sides can carry out extensive cooperation in the fields of talent training, teacher-student exchanges, scientific research cooperation, and joint construction of training bases.At the same time, they said that after the epidemic, the two schools can conduct on-site visits to enhance mutual trust and cooperation. Then the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the planned “Luban Workshop” cooperation project and reached a preliminary consensus.
In recent years, our school has gradually increased its efforts to open up schools, based on the school's advantages in running schools, and deeply participated in serving the national “Belt and Road” strategy, and actively explored new models of international exchanges and cooperation in higher vocational education.“Luban Workshop” has become an important part of my country's foreign cultural exchanges, an important carrier for serving the construction of the “Belt and Road” and expanding the international vocational education cooperation model, and an important channel for exporting wisdom programs for higher vocational education in my country.Through this video conference, our school and the Ukrainian National Railway Transportation University set up a bridge of friendly cooperation.
The predecessor of the Ukrainian National Railway Transportation University was the Kharkiv Railway Transport Operation and Traction Institute established in September 1930 by the Soviet People’s Committee Resolution No. 19/672.Since 1992, the institute has been responsible for the teaching and research functions of the Ukrainian railway transportation industry and has developed new training tools and techniques to train highly qualified experts.In 2001, it was officially renamed the Ukrainian National Railway Transportation Institute; in 2014, it was officially renamed the Ukrainian National Railway Transportation University.In its more than 90 years of history, the university has trained more than 85,000 experts in railway transportation, transportation construction and other industries, and currently ranks among the top three in Ukraine's transportation professional fields.
